John Davis [10051]
This John Davis is widely thought to have been the "other boy" whom was abducted in England and brought to America with Evan Ragland and sold into slavery / indentured servanthood. He is known to have had other children, but just one with Catherine, therefore it is possible he was a widower at the time of their marriage and quite a bit older than she. John married Catherine Ragland [10047] [MRIN: 3363], daughter of Evan Ragland [10033] and Susannah Pettus [10034], about 1696 in St. Peter's Parish, New Kent County, Virginia. (Catherine Ragland [10047] was born in 1681 in St. Peter's Parrish, New Kent County, Virginia.) |
