Colonial Families in the U.S. "MAURICE LANGHORNE of Cumberland Co., Va., second son of John, of Warwick Co., said to have been b. in 1721. He resided in Warwick Co. during the earlier years of his life, but later removed to Cumberland Co., and made his home there till death. The exact date of his moving is not known, but in Nov. 1759, “Maurice LANGHORNE of Warwick Co., Gent.,” and his wife, Elizabeth, executed a deed to Thomas TROTTER, of the town and and Co. of York, merchant, showing that they were still living in Warwick. From 18th Feb. 1775, to 23d Sept. 1776, he was a member of the Cumberland Co. Revolutionary Committee of Safety. He d. there in 1791, and the inventory of his estate was recorded in Mar. of the same year. He m. (first) Elizabeth TROTTER, dau. of John TROTTER of Yorktown, Va.; m. (secondly) Mary MOULSON.
