Found on the 1880 federal census of Dist. 59, Emanuel Co., GA as Alec H. Dixon, age 23, with wife, Sallie, age 19 and James A., son, age 3 b. in GA and Minne, relation = other, age 1, b. in GA. They are living next door to George W. Dixon, age 67 b. NC, and Elyann, his wife.

Found on the 1900 federal census of Summit, 1560 Militia Dist., Emanuel Co., GA, age 43, married for 25 years to Sahla (Sarah), age 40, mother of ten children, ten living. Alexander is listed as a farmer.
In the home are six children: Minnie, dtr age 23 b. 1878; Willie, son age 18 b. 1882; Paul, son age 16 b. 1884; _____ (Alex?) son age 16 b. 1884; ________ dtr. age 13 b. 1887; ______ son b. 1889 age 10; and ___________ ? sex, ? age.


Found on the 1910 federal census of 1536 Militia Dist., Toombs Co., GA, age 53, married for 33 years to one wife, Sara. Sara is 48, mother of 11 children, 11 living, three still at home. Alexander is listed as a barber. He spells his name Dixon on this census.

Alexander married Sarah Durden [10557] [MRIN: 3527]. (Sarah Durden [10557] was born about 1861 in Georgia.)
