  General Notes:

Opal and Zick Zickafoose lived in Green Sulphur Springs, Summers Co., WV after they got married. They lived in the John L. George house (later owned by McGraws and later owned by Frank Bragg). Their son Jack was born while they lived in that house in 1936. In 1938 they moved to Sandstone to be closer to their work. In 1940 they moved back to Green Sulphur Springs and bought the house and 5 acres from a cousin who lived in Hinton. They later bought 100 acres which joined the original 5 acres. Their son David, and daughter Erma June were born in that house. In August, 1953, Zick, Opal and their three children moved to Trenton(?), Florida to teach school in Gilchrist Co., in North Florida. Jack left home in the fall of 1954 to go to school and then to work in Bradenton, FL. David went to the University of Florida and Medical School in 1957. He then went to Johns Hopkins, then to New Oxford, PA to set up practice there. Erma June married and lives in Hudson, FL

Opal married Eugene Spurgeon Zickafoose [13708] [MRIN: 4526], son of Joseph Zickafoose [21651] and Laura Duncan [21652]. (Eugene Spurgeon Zickafoose [13708] was born on 4 Apr 1903 in Green Sulfur Springs, Summers County, West Virginia and died on 19 Sep 1978.)
