Daughter Ann (?); grandaughter Rosannah Meadow; my children, Joel Meador, Mary Holland, Frances Holloway, John Meador, Josiah Meador, Jehu Meador and Jesse Meador. WIT: John Atkinson, Josiah Robertson and Meatha Meador. Samuel Holloway and Simon Gentry were security for Jehu.

5. From: Katherine B. Elliott. Marriage Records 1749-1840 Cumberland County, Virginia. Privately published, 1969. "Many of the marriage bonds of Cumberland County have been lost, and many of the surviving bonds are now fragmented. All of the bonds for the years 1766, 1777, 1778 and 1781 have been lost, apparently, as none for these years were found among the bonds now extant. Only one bond for the year 1782 is now extant. There are no extant bonds for the years 1783, 1796, 1799, 1800, 1801 and 1802." . . . "Frances Hudgens: married Jonas Meador, Sr. at Essex County, Virginia. She died ca. 1780 at Cumberland County, Virginia."

Frances married Jonas Meador Sr. [29615] [MRIN: 4988], son of John Meador [15042] and Mary "Ann" Awbrey [15044], after 1720. (Jonas Meador Sr. [29615] was born about 1698 in Essex, Caroline County, Virginia and died on 5 Sep 1768 in Cumberland County, Virginia.)
