Joseph and Mary Lively lived on Hans Creek in Monroe County and had land on Peters Mountain with cattle and 40-60 deer. In 1825 he had 6 tracts of land (about 766 acres). He also owned large tracts of land in Raleigh and Fayette County, West Virginia. He had two slaves named June and Catie (man and wife) and their son died during the Civil War and was buried in the home cemetery. Joseph and Mary are both possibly buried in the Thrasher/Lively Cemetery near Lindside, Monroe County, West Virginia. Joseph married Mary Polly Pack [2108] [MRIN: 126], daughter of Samuel Pack Jr. [2090] and Mary Polly Farley [3355], on 12 Aug 1812 in Monroe County, West Virginia. (Mary Polly Pack [2108] was born on 23 Aug 1788 in New River, Greenbrier County, Virginia and died on 4 Jan 1871 in Monroe County, West Virginia.) |
