  General Notes:

My dad worked at the family dairy and general store until he shipped out for the Armed Forces in 1962/63. He enlisted voluntarily, figuring his number was going to be pulled for the draft anyway.
He never saw combat. He wanted to work with computers, but was declared color blind by recruiters. He ended up becoming a jet fighter mechanic, and was stationed in Germany and Libya.
My parents got married in the front yard of the Bowers family home.
My dad went to tech school for two years, and got a job with what would eventually become Texas Instruments (it was called something else at the time).
He was living in El Paso, Texas, where my mom thought they were going to live once they were married. The company downsized, and my dad was laid off two weeks before the wedding.
After they were married, they moved to San Francisco. Mom got a job in escrow, my dad had a hard time landing work. He eventually got a job in computers, and worked with several companies like ADP, MTTR and GTE. He was the early incarnation of your company's IT guy. He would go all around the Bay Area fixing and setting up computers for big companies.
He taught me all I knew about computers. They bought a house in Pacifica, about 15 miles south of SF in 1975.
He passed away from a brain aneurism in 1993.
After Kevin was born, my mom got a job in the local high school district as a teacher's aid working with special education kids. She worked her way up to high school library technician for a school in Daly City, and now is in charge of payroll for the district.

Jerry married Susan Gale Buehler [35653] [MRIN: 12075], daughter of John Buehler [35654] and Joyce Parker [35655], on 1 Apr 1972. (Susan Gale Buehler [35653] was born on 6 May 1951 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.)
