Before buying the Canterbury Farm, William and Annie lived at Lindside, Monroe County, West Virginia. They sold their half of Joshua's Farm to son Henry Wilson Canterbury, November 14, 1881. William died 5 years later at Lick Run, Cause of death was determined to be stomach cancer. Annie died two months later. Her cause of death was listed as "stomach inflammation". Both are buried on Wikel Road, Monroe County.
The Canterbury Farm was sold to William G. Canterbury in 1907, and to his heirs in 1958 after more than 150 years in the Canterbury family.
William married Anna Comer [11648] [MRIN: 3908] in 1845 in Monroe County, West Virginia.
