There is a "Hiram" age 50 listed as living with his brother, Ben (Thomas Hart Benton Ragland) during the 1880 census in Wheatfield, Clinton, IL. This could be the same person. Charles J. Ragland, Jr's vol 2 of the Ragland History lists his birth in 1830.
