According to the census, Anderson Lively lived in Spartanburg, South Carolina in 1810, 1820, 1840. Anderson purchased 80 acres on both sides of the South Pacolate River in Spartanburg, South Carolina by the road to the Antioch Meeting House to H. H. Thornson.
Anderson's name is engraved on the cornerstone of the Methodist Church in Campobello, South Carolina and it is reported that he was a founder of that church.
