Philip Stephen Lively and family resided in Amherst County, Virginia, then Monroe County, West Virginia, Rutherford and Haywood County in Tennessee, from about 1833 to 1837. In 1837 they resided in Nacodoches District, Texas. He was a Baptist, a school teacher and owned 4 slaves in 1840.
Philip married Susanna Young [2763] [MRIN: 933], daughter of John Young [2978] and Unknown, about 1816 in Amherst County, Virginia. (Susanna Young [2763] was born in 1800.)
