bullet  General Notes:

Wiley Lively served in the Civil War in Company F and Company K in the 5th Tennessee Infantry - Union Army. The 5th Tennessee Infantry was organized at Barboursville, Kentucky, March 28, 1862. Service was ended in Nashville, March 29 through June 30, 1865. It is noted in the unit's records that most of Company F came from Roane County.

Wiley was a farmer and resided in Anderson Co., TN, near Oliver Springs. He served as a private in Co. F., 5th TN Inf. during the Civil War, having enrolled on Feb 25, 1862 at Barbourville, Knox Co., KY. for three years. He applied for a pension on July 13, 1888 based on this service in the Union Army and was approved as per the National Archives.
