Henry Jr., had a son Henry, who is the father
of my great-great grandfather Richard Henry Bowers,
born 1841 in Berkeley.
Richard married a woman named Lucy, and their daughter
Ellie was born in Berkeley. They moved to Missouri
sometime afterward and my
great-grandfather James Spitzer Bowers was born in
Randolph County.
The family moved to Hardy, Texas in about the 1880s,
then moved to Albuquerque, NM at the turn of the
century.
My grandfather was Merlin Bowers, and his youngest
child was my father, Jerry Bowers. My father married
and moved to San Francisco in 1973.
I am the oldest of three sons.
The majority of this Bowers line still resides in New
Mexico.
Richard married Lucy Ellen Rowland [35573] [MRIN: 12072], daughter of William J. Rowland [35635] and Hannah S. Hackney [35636]. (Lucy Ellen Rowland [35573] was born in 1844 in Berkeley County, Virginia and died in 1885.)
