Lewis (Johann Ludwick) Bush, a son of Michael and Eva Bush, was born in Zuzenhausen, Daisbach, Germany in 1723. He was christened July 2, 1723. He came to America with his family aboard the ship "Hope", landing at Philadelphia PA August 28, 1735. Lewis lived in Pendleton County VA, since his name appears on the List of Tithables for 1790 as "...Lewis Bush, South Fork of Potomac River." He married Eva Hyer about 1744. Eva, a daughter of Leonard and Clara (Lutzler) Hyer, was born about 1723 and died about 1813. The entire Lewis Bush family moved to Fayette County, Ohio, near Washington Court House, sometime after 1790.
