Served in the military from September 25, 1813 until September 25, 1818 in Captain Ferdinand L. Amelung's Company, 1st Regiment, Infantry. Received a land bounty of 160 acres (Bounty Warrant 12-160-WT 19662). 5 ft 11 inches, served in the Battle of New Orleans. Plantation owner in East Baton Rouge Parish. Berry married Hanna Brooks [3623] [MRIN: 1281] about 1820. (Hanna Brooks [3623] was born about 1799 in New York and died in Nov 1869.) |
