CABINS OF THE LOOP: " In 1859, John Davis became the owner of a 500 acre tract on Packs Branch a short distance above its mouth...He was already established there when he bought the land. Next above the John Davis place, was the far of Peter Davis, whose wife Juda long survived him. Immediately below, was the cabin of Granville Tyree and wife Celia at the
mouth of a small hollow; and on the hilltop, across the valley, lived Richard and Priscilla Tyree."
