  General Notes:

Annie's son, Allen Williams, has said his mother was an illegitimate child raised by her grandparents. After John L. Williams was killed by the horse accident, she never remarried. She supported herself as a housekeeper. In 1860, she and seven children were living in the household of Berry Cauley, a 65 year old farmer. Her occupation was listed as a domestic. In her later years she lived with her son Allen and his family.

Anne married John L. Williams [6865] [MRIN: 2275], son of Alexander Williams [6841] and Elizabeth White [6862], about 1834 in Giles County, Virginia. (John L. Williams [6865] was born on 6 Oct 1807 in Giles County, Virginia, died on 30 Nov 1853 and was buried in Lick Creek, West Virginia.)
